My Fake ID

The purpose of an ID is to have a genuine identity for yourself which can bail you out in situations where you have no other means to convince the authorities about yourself and your whereabouts. Having an ID card helps in securing access to many places, like government offices, clubs, and many other institutions. Identity cards help the authorities in maintaining security as they can check on any individual who does not have an identity. With increasing criminal activities and terrorism, possessing a genuine driving ID can be very reassuring as you can produce it to wriggle out of awkward situations. But sadly some people still think that they can deceive the officials by using fake Ids such as fake driving ID.

Getting a novelty fake ID for fun and making a fool of your friends is all right and attracts no penalties as long as you are using it in private and not for any illegal activity, some examples of the novelty ID cards are golf club membership cards or freemasons membership ID. But if you have a fake driving ID that you try to gain entry into any government office and you get caught, you may have to face serious consequences. It is an offence for which you may be punishable with a penalty causing you to shell out huge amount of money; and in certain cases you may even have to face legal proceedings.

So, you see, it is not worth using a fake driving ID at all, unless you are ready to face the serious consequences that follow in the event of you getting caught with a fake ID. Poking fun at friends is OK, but make sure never to use a fake driving ID in any situation that involves authorities.
